Know-how

Glass or crystal is not easily described. It's physical structure does not conform to liquid, solid or gas. By using traditional know-how and the human hand, molten crystal is blown and shaped into objects, every single one with a personality and a unique expression. A large part of Vas Vitreum´s collection is made without any molds, just using the masters eyes and experience to create the final product.

A high quality raw material for the production of world class crystal is very important for Vas Vitreum. Therefore the company uses a specially made unleaded crystal batch that has superb reflection and a great heavyness. The crystal is melted at 1400 degrees Celcius, the temperature is then lowered to 1100 degrees Celsius and the crystal can be processed.
